The Meaning of Home

Over the years, there's been some confusion about what home means, so I'll explain it to you. Home can be anything: a house, a pet, a person, or even online. People think home is just a house you live in, but it's more than that. Home is a feeling. Have you ever heard someone say, “I feel at home” That's what I mean. Home feels comforting, a place where you feel like you can be yourself, and as open as you want to be, but since the word “home” is clarified as a house, people think it's just a building, but it's deeper than that. Why I think home can be a person, is because I feel that way with my friends. When I'm with them, I feel comforted, I get excited whenever I hang out with them, and it makes me believe I'm worth something they make me feel at home. A house can also be a home if you feel at peace and at home when in your house, I'm not trying to say that your house can't be a home, and it has to be a person, it can be your house too. What I'm trying to say is anywhere you feel at home, is therefore known as a home, and it can be multiple. You can have multiple homes, feel at home with somebody, and feel at home in a house, a building, or just a place. For example, you can be at home with your friends, but you can also feel at home in a building at the same time. there's no limit to where you can feel at home and not. Anything can be a house, but it takes comfort and affection, to make a home.
