What Home is to Me

For me home is the feel of something cozy and warm because it reminds me of watching a movie with my family, or sitting around the fire with the people I love. It is coming back from school and seeing the loving faces of my parents. They are always excited to see me. For me home feels like the coldness of snow because it reminds me of skiing which I have been doing since I was little. Home sounds like the soft, and gentle music my dad puts on for me when I go to bed. The sound of it makes me feel safe and comfortable where I am. For me home is somewhere you can live your best life. Listening to the music you want to listen to, and feel everything you want to feel. I know I am very lucky to have a home that I feel safe in because some people have to leave their homes and their memories behind. It was just so sad in the book we read about a boy who had been through so many tough times. I just wanted to cry with happiness and sadness. Home is celebrating your traditions, and heritage. My home is connected to all the traditions that my family has. For example every Christmas my whole family on my moms side go to my aunties house and we have a big breakfast. My brother is a part of home because he always makes me smile and he always lights up the room. It makes me feel good when he always wants to play with me. Something that I really enjoy about him is he always wants to make me things he knows I would really like. Now you know what the meaning of home really means to me.
