A few years ago
My home became two
Which was difficult
To get used to
It meant back and forth
It meant more space
It meant something different
And a feeling of out of place
But soon what I knew
Was what made a home
Weren’t the rooms, the walls or the stone
It was the laughs, the love and the fun
This is what made my two homes feel like one
