Cozy Little Home

Home is more than a safe place for me it’s a place where I can express my mixed up emotions Home is not just a place where I have grown up, it’s a place with great memories, filled with stories of my life like when I got an A+ on a test My home is where it’s filled with measurements of my height I can’t stop smiling each time I grow an inch taller I remember the day I felt as powerful as a superhero, I was proud of myself for taking a step To fast for the first time during Ramadan Home is where I feel I belong, Because I feel safe to tell what I have been hiding inside my heart Home is not just a place to sleep, my imagination rises high in the sky Like I thought I could fly Home is where I feel the sunshine on my face, as I gather up together to have a little talk Home is where I cool down in the hot summer sun or warm up with a cozy blanket and drink a delicious HOT CHOCOLATE in front of my TV Home is where I feel safe to show that I am scared, but there are always kind words to get me through it Home is not always sunshine and happiness, It can be lonely and even scary like getting in trouble because of your sibling Home is my heart where I’ve felt loved from the start I’m so thankful for my cozy home!
