What Home Means To Me

Whack! I hear as I slam the oak door shut. My dog sprints toward me as I untie my shoes. I see my brother on the grey couch watching Spidey and his Amazing Friends. I feel the hard, wooden floor as I walk towards the kitchen. I smell the oil in the diffuser and the delicious lasagna that my mom made. I taste cheesy, gooey lasagna as my mom asks if she needs to add anything. I am thankful and grateful for my house because every single day I wake up in a comfy, cozy bed with a roof over my head. There is healthy food provided for me and a safe environment full of people that listen. I think that everyone deserves a safe home and that is what Habitat for Humanity provides.
