Home

The outside world can be vile, Where you feel like you ran a mile, It can be filled with fears, And it can bring people to tears. But a home is a shelter from all those bad things, It’s a place that rests in your heart that only gives you good feelings. Home is not just four walls and a roof, It’s where you’re never proven guilty, and you never need proof. It’s a place where you can get away from expectations, It’s a place that everyone needs in every nation. Home has an aroma that’s as sweet as a peach, You get taught lessons there that not even school can teach. Of course, home is not just a place, It’s a shelter from the outside world that can be painful like a giant, metal mace. Home shelters you when you’re a juvenile, No matter how it is home is beautiful. I want to thank Habitat for Humanity, For giving people a home and restoring sanity.
