Home To Me

My home is warm, it keeps me safe. I live with my mom, dad, and my brother we share memories, and I know they love me. It brings me comfort and joy. At the dinner table we go over those memories and then we talk and laugh about them. I love all the warm meals my mom cooks for my family and the comfortable bed with my own bedroom. I like when my friends come over to play or have Parties. My family and I throw a boxing day party every year except for when the pandemic hit. When I have parties there is a lot of music playing and conversations all over the house. I have lived in my house for all my life for 10 years. I live on Vancouver Island in the Comox Valley, and I love it there. All my friends live there and most of my family. My mom’s parents live in Japan. My dad’s parents live on the same road as me. I can walk to school from my house. I sometimes walk bike or scooter home with my friends. I know the roads by my house. The front door of my house leads to the stairs so if I had a difficult day or a good day, I could run upstairs to call my best friend. I am lucky to live here!
