Home

Home is the circle of the beloved ceased and the living. I feel hope and pride. It reminds me of the family “binner” party. My family calls it the big Christmas party. That’s where the name “binner” party came from. Every year at Christmas all the kids laugh and play, and every kid is like “this is the BEST DAY EVER!” Oh yeah. The parents still have loads of fun. But away from all of that I love my family. I never dream about a dream home because I live it. You see 90% of the time is with my family and 10% is in my room. I love my family. I can feel unique, love, and rambunctious. Downstairs is the movie memory hall of fame. The living room is a fond place to be and with a dog called Annie doing puppy eyes. In the kitchen we eat my dad’s scrumptious food. Also, the man with the jokes. Oh… my favourite time. Every weekend but only Saturday we watch a classic movie and somehow, we always laugh and then we get the sillies. Then this sound “H H H Heeeee, ra, he, sa ma ta ra! Just because we can. In the end we hug. In our dreams, my sister and I dream of pancakes. Oh, how buttery and scrumptious. Berries, cream. After we go in the living room and just chat and have fun. But it is hatred to think about people without a home. I could never sleep. Barely eat and drink and no relationships. They’re frozen out there in the city. Minus 20 and not a lot of clothes. My heart goes cold. I feel fortunate to have a home because how much would you want to be outside in the cold because I know I don’t. Home is beginning of love rising and fears dying. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for helping people to find a safe home to make memories. By Tommy
