A Place to Call Home

A house is something with four walls and a door, But a home is something to call yours. A kitchen is where the scents unfold, And where secret recipes are told. A living room is somewhere we have guests, Eat dinner, and practice for our tests. The den is where we watch tv, and where we play the Wii. The hallways glow, And it's also where the memories start to flow. The stairs are where we walk up and down, And where we reach other ground. My bedroom is where I sleep and lay back, But also where I read on my lap. Bathrooms have that echo sound, Where the soap is always found. My brother's room is full of stuff, Dirty clothes and games piled up. My sister's room is full of pink, With stuff everywhere it's hard to think. My parent's room is always clean, No toys or mess it's always clean. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for building homes all over the globe for people less fortunate than me.
