Luck

When I think of home I always feel so lucky. I have a loving family, a safe home, and luxuries some people can only dream of. I live in a very safe community and people are very kind. I can walk to the beach and I can hike beautiful mountains, I can bike year round. I used to live in Ontario. We couldn't do anything in the Summer because it was so sweltering and we couldn’t do anything in the Winter because it was so cold. Ontario is a busy place. It has bigger chances for bad things happening. Before I was born my parents lived in an apartment. They couldn't afford much else. They lived in a sketchy part of Toronto. One time they actually heard gunshots a couple of blocks away. I live in a place where education is free to everyone and the district can afford tech. My family can afford food and water and special treats. Some families are barely scraping by, in terms of food and money. For me home means a place of love. Not everyone has a home and I acknowledge that.
