Sahra's Story

Hello, my name is Sahra and I'm 17 years old, I'm out in the streets alone because I didn't pay all my taxes, so they took my house away from me.It is wintertime the hardest season to survived in, the only warm item I have is a sweater that has dirt and holes in it. Today I went to the oner store to see if I could get anything to eat, I looked around to see the gassed-up prices. 5$,10$,20$ and I only had 2$, I realized this I why are people are turning homeless, little kids,familys and the elderly. is this what humanity has become? Yes, this I the new reality. I step outside to see a man with s badge that says, “habitat for humanity "I ask the man “what is habitat for humanity"? He said it was for the homeless who don't have a home to live in he spoke. I said I'm one of those people who need help. They helped me get a home and everything that's my life story.
