Houses and Homes Aren't the Same

Laughter and giggles echo off the wall Silence and small talk fill the room. Houses and home can be very different But they both have one thing in common,people stay there. People laughing,talking and cooking is something to see But four walls and a roof is also something to see. Fresh bread and a burning candle is a comforting smell,freshly clean house and intoxicating perfume isn't quite comforting. Cozy blankets,soft beds and the comfort of someone makes you feel safe and loved,rough textures,the feel of a blanket that isn't yours and a chair your not used too makes you feel out of place.Soft and warm cookies,cold water and roasted smores are things that make you feel safe,different textures,crispy cheese and soggy vegetables are things that don't make you feel at home. Home is not just a place or house it's a place where you feel safe and comforted. A house doesn't feel like yours, it feels like someone else's.
