My Home

Home is not just a place. Home is the beautiful voices of my parents, siblings and cousins. Home is the noise of shared laughter and joy. Home is the comfort of my family calming me down when I'm unhappy or hurt. Home is the warm scent of the house, the smell of sweet, sour, spicy homemade food flowing across the room and giving it the scent of home. Home is when I step inside my house and get hugs. Home is the feeling of being included. Home is the place where I grew up and where I made life lasting memories. Home is happiness, sadness, and calmness. Home is where I get hurt. Home is where I heal. Home is where I belong. Home is a place where I can be scared. Home is a place where I am brave.
