What home means to me!

A home has a lot of important things. When you lose it, it plays with your heart strings. A home is where you can spend time with your loved ones. A home is for anybody and everyone A home is where I can walk through the door with a smile on my face. I will always feel safe A home is where I feel cozy and warm Even in dangerous situations, like a storm A home is where I can eat warm and healthy food And where happiness takes over my mood A home is where I can laugh and play Where I can have fun all day But it is not just the inside of my house that is important to me It is my neighborhood, school and city It is wherever I have a sparkle in my eye and I am grinning Wherever I am jumping, skipping, and spinning I want to try to get everybody off the street. I want everybody who agrees to say goodbye to the path of defeat I want to walk through my city and see no one on the street I want mine and so many other’s dreams to be complete That is why this competition is so important to me Because I want to see more boys and girls jumping with glee All they try to do is raise money to give people a home This is why I wrote this poem
