Grateful for Home

To me personally, home is just where my family is, where my culture is, and my life is. Home is where I make my happy and sad memories. Home is where my mom makes her famous steak, Samgyupsal, or her other Asian cuisines, and me and my dad run to the dining table to feast. It's where my parents taught me to be a good person and how to live properly. Home is where I first learned how to walk, and how to talk. Where my parents helped me with my homework. It’s Sort of like the saying, “Home is where the heart is”. Home isn't a building or a structure, it's where my life thrives. It doesn’t matter if I'm in Russia or Cuba, as long as I'm with my family I am home. Some people might say that home is where they sleep or play their video games, but they can do that anywhere, it’s not different than living in a hotel. Some people don’t even have homes like homeless people. People take their homes for granted and don’t know how important it is, they should be grateful for what they have. Personally I should also start to realize how lucky I am to have such a wonderful home, parents, friends, and just an amazing community. So I am glad that there is a program that supports people with no homes.
