What does the word home mean?

Have you ever thought of what the word home means? To me, home holds a special place in my heart. It is a place where I feel safe, where I can truly be myself, and a place where I can’t live without. Firstly, it is where I feel the most comfortable, happy, and safe. After an exhausting day, returning to my home brings me a sense of relaxation and contentment. Everything is in my home, such as snacks I enjoy or entertainment. Of course, there are many books on numerous shelves, that I will never finish reading. The relaxing, soft bed gives me the rest I need. Home means to me, somewhere I feel delightful. Secondly, home is the only place where I can truly be myself. Everything within it is familiar, from the kitchen to the living room, but most importantly, my bedroom. My bedroom is filled with things I love and holds many happy memories. It is a reflection of my true personality. It is somewhere almost private to me, and where I can do anything. Home to me means someplace where my love is in it. Finally, home is the place where I couldn’t live without. It is filled with wants, and likes but also what I need to survive. It protects me from the elements. It is something I need, but not just me. Everybody needs a home, just like me to survive. This is my last reason, and also why I am writing this: to provide homes to people in need. In conclusion, home is where I sense security, a reflection of my true personality, and a necessity. It holds a special place in my heart. Next time, why don’t you also admire your home and think about why you love it?
