Meaning of home

Home is where I live, laugh and make memories with the people I love most. Home is where I eat, sleep and feel comfortable doing anything. Home is wherever my family is and wherever our photos are from celebrations, special occasions and the funniest vacations. I know it’s home when I smell my mom’s cooking through the whole house and I rush downstairs to the dinner table to talk to my parents about my day. I know it is home when my mom tucks me in to my cozy bed with my grandma’s hand knitted quilt and a hand embroidered pink pillowcase with pink and blue flowers that my mom made for me. Home is where my favorite stuffed animals are and my hello kitty night light is. Home is where my three big gray sofas are that I sit with my shiny mermaid blanket and watch TV on. Home is where I spend most of my time at. I love my home because it makes me feel safe, secure and I am surrounded by things that are familiar to me and things that I love. Home is a place I like to be at. I know it is my home when I see the pear tree in my backyard where my grandma is picking the most beautiful pears on the tree while my mom is picking tomatoes and bell peppers and I pick mint leaves and coriander. Home is where my doll house is where me and my cousins play with my dolls and play hide and seek, monopoly and my favourite game Uno. What home means to me is spending time and having fun with family and friends.
