The Meaning of Home

My home is special. To you, my home could be an ordinary building made out of bricks, but even the trees in my backyard are more than sticks. The second I step into my home, the smell of my mom’s brilliant biryani fills my nose and my heart. My brother rushing to me saying “Come play with me.” We play all day video games and football. We watch football matches cheering for our team. The day we wake up and share our dreams. I always feel my family is a part of me. The first day of Ramadan, my mom calling us for Suhoor to start fasting, our love everlasting. The day of Eid my brother and me rushing to our presents saying “Give me!” Everything brings a memory to our hearts, my brother saying “look at my art”! My dad telling stories of when he was little, my brother standing up for me when I am belittled. My home, my family, a part of me. No matter where I go, in my heart they are always with me. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving a chance to help the people in need.
