Home

The morning woke, Your alarm sounded in your room-nothing new it rang every morning. But then it rang again, and again, and again. Your mother shouted your name across the house, muttering and cursing at the annoying noise. Footsteps hurried down the hallway and two harsh knocks hit the door. No answer, she swung the door open to find you laying on the floor, Your mouth foaming, and tears dried in your eyes, with pills in your hand. She dropped to her knees, holding her baby girl in her arms. Crying while squeezing you tight, Never again would your mother raise her voice, never again would she set alarms, And never again will she be able to hold her baby girl.
