My Favourite Box of Chocolates

Home is like a box of chocolates. Not every home is perfect just like not every box of chocolate is perfect, but you can pick and choose what you eat and what you leave. The outside of my home is different than the inside. When I am outside, I like to listen to the sound of the birds singing and smell the fresh cut grass in the summer. When I open the front door, the fresh cut grass is mixed with the smell of my mom’s delicious food. I hear the sounds of my older brother and sister fighting over who gets to drive the car and my dad convincing them both they will survive on a bus. My home may not always sound calm, but I feel calm knowing that we all love each other. I also have a home in India. That home has happy memories with my dog, my aunt and uncle, and my cousins. I love my home in Canada, and I love my home in India too. In India I can celebrate my traditional holidays more than I can in Canada. Even if I visited India I would still want to come back to Canada because I could never live without my friends. To me, this is the meaning of home.
