Home

Home is a place of joy and laughter. It is a place when I feel sad or alone, I can feel safe and supported. Home is where my mom’s warmth, and my dad’s smile lives. It is where my brother and I laugh and have fun. When my day was difficult, or my heart feels an excruciating pain, I lay in my bed. When my feelings are down, or upon my face is a frown, I go to my cat, who cheers me up every time. Home is where my mom makes food, and my dad makes me happy. When my brother and I get in a fight, conflict is overpowered. Home is where love is shared, and bonds are strong, and memories are made. Home is where we celebrate holidays and life. Home is safe, and full of kind hearts, and Grandpa’s butter tarts. Home is secure. Home means family.
