What Home Means to Me

What home means to me, is when I come home from school I am greeted by my puppy as she happily barks, wagging her tail with excitement. What home means to me, is watching my family smile while eating delicious pasta and sharing funny stories, enjoying the laughter. What home means to me, is pressing my palms against the oven glass waiting for the cookies to bake, while giggling. What home means to me, is snuggling up in my comfortable sheets gently closing my eyes, thinking about my life and all the love and kindness filling it. What home means to me is walking around my home, looking around, seeing the pictures on the walls that are filled with memories, the pillows on the couch, the small crowded things that bring my home to life. What home means to me is being able to eat, drink and have a room, clothes, shoes, stationary, school, backpack, a loving family, and finally a roof over my head to keep me warm and comforted. What home means to me is in the summer, I can enjoy everyday by having the opportunity to go to summer camps and make new friends. Even when it's over and the fun goes away, the joyful memories stay forever. Home is a loving place that I wouldn't have any second thought about staying in forever, I love my home. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for the amazing opportunity. I appreciate it.
