When I Walk in the Door at Home

I’m grateful for the love and safety I feel in my home. I don’t have to worry about anything bad happening. I lived in a bad neighbourhood for a bit but my mom got us and moved to my hometown where my dad lives. Home to me is the love my parents show me, just little things like buying or making me food. Home is when my parents take time off work to play with me. Home is feeling safe. Safety to me is when the fire alarm goes off and they say it’s going to be ok. There are many differences between a house and a home. A house is just an empty space filled with rooms but a home is part of my heart and filled with stuff I love. That is what home means to me.
