The Meaning of Home

Home is a place where you feel comfortable, safe and loved. I feel loved because I can be myself around my family, they understand me and they put food on the table so I won’t go hungry. What I love the most about my home is who I share it with. Home is a place where I grow up wanting to leave and grow old wanting to go back. I think home is more than bricks, four walls and a roof. Home is an environment, home is a place where I let happiness thrive. Where I make memories, where I let go of my worries. It is a feeling that greets me when I walk through the door. It is the people who wait for me to come home. I believe that home is where I found my personality. Home for me is made of experiences, moments that helped me change and teach me. Home is where the heart is, my home is also people and when home takes on a human form it's called family. No matter where I go in the future my home will always be in my heart, and with the people who made me who I am and taught me how to be myself. Home is where I was raised, where I laughed and cried. It is where I grew, where I became me, a strong and smart person, confident in myself and my future. Thank you Habitat To Humanity for giving someone a chance.
