My Safe Place

Did you know that there are over 235 000 homeless people in all of Canada? Homelessness has been such a huge global problem over the years. We may need some reminders on how lucky and incredibly thankful we should be for our home, everything inside, and surrounding it. Personally, the most important part of my home is family. Family makes me feel safe, loved, and secure in my home. I never feel sad or lonely when I’m surrounded by the people I love most. We are sometimes oblivious of the fact that others may not have people that care for them. But I believe that everyone should have someone to love and depend on. The next very important aspect of my home is the love that is always flooding it. Love is an emotion, a feeling that I am incredibly grateful for. Love is what I feel when I care for someone, and truly enjoy having them around. No one needs to have a house built to love someone, you just need someone, or something to love. The last part I would like to interpret is memories. Did you know that memories make life have more meaning? I feel that it is so important to have good, and bad memories in my home. I create many assortments of memories with my friends, and family in my home. Home is my safe place, and where I go for comfort and reassurance. They do say, “home is where the heart is.” Right?
