The Way My Home Makes Me Feel

My home is the place I feel safest, warmest, and even happiest. The smell of home makes me think of tasty chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven. Not everyone has a house, but everyone has a home maybe some people make them happy. Or they have a pet or even a favourite place. But my home is in my house with my mom, dad, sister and two dogs. Habitat for Humanity is a promising idea to help those in need. But I don’t have an interesting story about my life but some people in need do and they deserve to be heard. I live in Canada, Winnipeg, Manitoba, but other places in Canada and around the world need Habitat for Humanity. My home is something I share with my family and my friends. Every day when I come home from school, I open the door and get greeted by my two dogs after a day at school. They make me feel safe and happy. My parents cook for me every day, and it makes me feel happy and safe. That’s what having a home feels like, and everyone deserves that.
