Home is not just bricks and a roof It's where your worries can just go poof It's a place to be happy or sad It's a place with a sister, mother,brother and dad It's more than a house it is a place with memories It's a place you can have great journeys A place you learned to talk and walk Its a place were in the summer you would decorate the sidewalks with chalk It's where you read books and play games It's a picture perfect photo with a very flawless frame It's like a tree with roots digging down It's a place where no one should have a frown It's where you can celebrate a happy new year It's a place where you can live without fear It's where you help with dinner and dishes And in the backyard on a stars you can make wishes It's a place to get tucked in at night And were you wake up to morning light A home should be filled with happiness and glee And this is what a home means to me
