My Home
My home is nice and warm, it is full of joy and happiness, laughing, and relaxing. Home is where my family is. My family makes me feel loved and safe.
It tastes like home cooked meals and smells like beans
covered in molasses cooked in the instant pot. It smells like candles and detergent from when Mom washes the clothes with pods that dissolve. I hear the dryer that goes thump thump thump because it is unbalanced; it stops and goes doo doo doo doo when the clothes are dry.
My home is full of family memories. My favorite memories include my cat Loki who would run down the hallway with a thunk- he limped because he cut his pad on his foot before we rescued him hiding in one of my dad’s old vans.
My friends make me happy when they play with me outside. I love bringing people together inside too. We play outside in the snow digging and throwing snowballs while Dad does the snowblowing. I hide beside the van and we laugh when he finds me.
I feel the fire on my hands while watching tv covered in a blanket with my dogs, Shiloh and Diesel. I love my dogs when they snuggle with me when I come inside from the cold. I taste the hot chocolate that my mom makes me to warm me up- marshmallows high above the lid of the cup.
I love my home and the people inside: my mom, my dad, my 2 dogs, my uncle and his girlfriend Madison. Together we hang out in the living room and I feel safe and loved.
