Home Is Where the Heart Is

“Home is where the heart is” Home is not just shelter. Home is so much more. Home to me is a place where you can cower from the cold. It is a place that is always warm and welcoming with even more warm and welcoming hearts. Home is a place where I can be happy or sad and never be judged. Home is a place where there will always be arms that will hold me and hands that will wipe away my tears. Home is a place where harsh and hurtful words will never reach me and people that will protect me from them. Home is a place where I will always have someone to talk to and where I know I will be accepted no matter what happens. Home is a place where I can laugh and play with a smile on my face. It is a place where I will always feel safe and never have to worry about what happens the next day. Home is a place where I will never be bored because I have my family. Home is a place where I will never be hungry, worried if there will be food on the table or when my next meal will come. Home is a place where I will never have to be worried or stressed about anything because my family will always be there to calm me down. I have had to move a lot. I always felt sad because I missed my “home” but now I realize home is where the heart is and it always will be.
