A Special Place Called Home

A house and a home are similar but not the same, A house may hold your favorite, pink champagne. But a home holds something to ease your pain. Homes make you feel like you belong, Where you feel like Donkey Kong, respected all year long. But Instead of being in a movie, you feel loved by others around you. In my home, memories are made of laughter and play, That last throughout the day. Smiles come and go while snow melts away, Memories always stay. Homes makes you feel safe, Where you don’t feel like a waif. When you're with your family everything feels safe. Families make you feel brave. My family holds culture to the core, That’s one thing that makes us soar. Where we get to fully roar, And it never comes to humiliation. A home is a door to love, Where you're safe from war and the above. Comfort is often found in love, Where you don’t feel as if getting shoved. And that's what a home means to me, And its set me free, to be absolutely me.
