Never Forget Where You Came From

Don’t forget your roots, don’t forget your home, when your home you’ll never be alone. I remember the smell of the air, how everyone around me always cared. Don’t forget how you lived, don’t forget your room, I will always remember the sound of my neighbors “boom!” I remember my kitchen, the smell of bread, how the birds sound, one I named Ned. Don’t forget your yard, don’t forget your friends, I always remember what my mom always said. I remember the feel of the ground, the gravel and how always it felt to travel. Don’t forget your street, don’t forget your walls, I will never forget the birds call, I will always remember the feeling and smell of my old hardwood halls. Don’t forget your old life, don’t forget your school, I will always remember the taste of my mom’s soup and pictured it like a pool. And every day I will think of the sewing machine and staring at the moving big spool. Don’t forget your house, don’t forget your favorite book, I remember near my bedroom there was a perfect quiet nook. I love the feel of my dads famous hot chocolate with extra marshmallows, looking at all the mugs I love every one with a shade of yellow. Remember the way your house looked from a far. I love looking every night at the beautiful shining stars. Home is not about buying a house, it's about the little things like a tiny mouse. If you miss your home take a second to remember the little things, I remember how in my basement there were so many wonderful bins. That might sound weird but it’s true my favorite bin was blue. Well, goodbye.
