What Home Means to Me

Each year there are more and more people becoming homeless, Toronto has the largest amount of homeless people in Canada. I am lucky to have a place I get to call home. Home is a place where you play, learn, and spend time with the people that you love. I am very fortunate to have a home to call “mine”. Home is a place where you spend time with family. Home is a special place where people love to spend time with you. Home is a loving and caring place. My family loves to spend time together by having movie nights, reading books, and going to fun places like water parks, museums, playgrounds, and a lot of other fun places. Being around my family feels like hugging one of my very fluffy cats. When I'm at home I have so much fun when I play with my family. Most of the time I play with my friends, family, and toys. Sometimes I like playing board games with my family such as “the game of life” and “monopoly cheaters edition" even though we always get into fights when we play it, so we opt to play UNO instead. That's why I like playing games with my family. Learning with my family and friends is fun. When I was younger, I didn't know how to talk, walk, or do do almost anything on my own. All I could do was roll around on the floor. But, I learned how to do so much like ride a bike, climb, and talk. I learned how to do those things from my friends and family. I have grown up with my friends and family and they have taught me so much. It is through all of these different experiences, such as the special time my family and I spend together, the games we have played, and the many things I have learned that leave me with special memories of my home. I can only hope that one day those people that don’t have these memories right now can one day experience them just as I do.
