The Meaning of Home

Home is not just four walls with a roof Home is a place that is emotion proof Home is a place with different rooms Home is a place where you should feel free to bloom It is a place, filled with grace A place where you learn how to tie your shoe lace It is a place where you love and are loved A place where you will never get shoved A place to eat, sleep and so much more A place where people will help you when you feel sore A place where you are able to cry A place where you got sung lullabies Home is where you are surrounded by family and friends I hope those relationships never end Home can be with someone or somewhere You should feel safe and always important there Home is something that you will always have A foundation for your very special path A path to a feeling of importance and value A place that will always be there, like a statue Home is special, a place to be you A place that is safe and always true Feel free to feel happy, mad, or sad Home will always be understanding and glad This poem I wrote with a message in mind Where you live is special and never doesn’t deserve your time Home is a feeling not just a place I hope you realise this and give yourself grace
