Home Is a Feeling

Home is a feeling. Not a place, It is where you go after rough times, It is where you can feel safe, Comfortable, And most of all, Loved. This is home to me. Home is where you can feel relaxed and share your feelings, And where you can feel at peace. Home is where you can always go, Where you can belong, Where you will always be welcome, There are over a million words to describe this idea of “home,” Carefree, loving, relaxing, safe, And countless others. Home is where you can feel like you fit in, Yet where can you also stand out, And be recognized for who you really are, And where you can always be loved. No matter where you are, You can always know that you can return home, No matter the circumstance, You will always have a home. No matter if you are struggling, Home is where you feel safe, It doesn't matter where that is, So long as you can feel comforted, And relaxed. Home can be anywhere, Old or new, So long as it gives you that feeling, Of comfort, warmth, and freedom, Then it is truly, Your home And no one can tell you otherwise.
