Home, for me

Home isn’t a place, it’s a feeling It’s a place you will always know, A place you can always go For me, home is seeing my mom Tucking my brothers in for bed with A goodnight, sweet dreams, I love you, And a nice big warm hug. For me, home sounds like my dog’s Long nails tap against the cold, wooden floor As he prances with confidence after his Favourite rubber ball For me, home smells like the sweet scent of lavender Lingering all through the halls, leaving you feeling Calm, relaxed, and cleansed. For me, home tastes like my Favourite crepes still hot off the pan, Drizzled with homemade strawberry sauce That my GG makes. For me, home feels like My dog’s soft, warm, and fuzzy Fur as he walks by leaving a cool breeze. A house and a home are two different things: In a house you have the floors, walls, windows, and doors But in a home is filled with the people you love, The people you adore This is home, for me
