Home (And the Meaning I Hold Dear)

Home is where my family are, my parents and my brother too. It’s not a place where we just sleep and goof, it’s past the brick and mortar, it’s where we have the bulk of supporters. Where love never fades away from me. Where love is shared between us all, while bonds are strong and very long. Where laughter comes from my mom and dad and my sibling too, where the warm embrace from my mama and wise words from my papa guides me through life’s uphills and downhills. Where the walls are furnished and adorned with the photos and pictures of those we hold dear. Making memories that will last centuries upon centuries, home has lots of memories. Home is filled with siblings and rivalry between them, and balanced by love and understanding. Home is where we celebrate, where we’re known. Where reassurance is everywhere. Home is where no one else can describe it better than me - a place where we celebrate our tradition in unison. “Home can’t be replaced, but a house with bricks and mortar can”. Thank you Habitat for Humanity Canada for giving me this opportunity and children across Canada to be able to help people in need!
