Home

When we are together, We can get away from the very cold weather. Although my grandpa is deceased, he may rest in peace. I remember where he went, Those memories will never get a dent. Each day has more and more, Only happiness can enter through the door. When my family is near, There will never be fear. When we are apart, The hatred starts. Although there may be downs, the ups will be found. We can go camping and see a bear, Or have fun playing truth or dare. For each other we’re always there, While I glare at my stars and say “wow, I wish I could get there.” Outside, our hands get warmed up by mitts, While I hear my friend scream “HAHA YOUR IT.” Where I can lay down on my bed and read a book, Where I can play chess and win with two rooks. Where I can look at the stars in the night sky, And see a great, beautiful butterfly. From a nightmare I get fear, While my mom whispers into my ear, “Don’t worry, dear I’ll be near. Our house is like a dome, But in our heart it's a home. My family, My home, We will never be alone.
