My Home is my Pets

Home can mean many things. A dog or a cat, a rabbit or a bunny, a hamster or a gerbil, they can all be home as long as you let them. Home can be the smell of a wet dog after a rainstorm or the scent of your rabbit's favorite treat after you open a new bag. The touch of your bunny’s soft fur or the spikey feel of your cat’s warm tongue can always bring you back home in troubling times. When your hamster rolls over to you in its ball nudging your leg for a taste of your food or your gerbil nibbles on a leaf of fresh lettuce, you know this is your home. Sounds in a house can vary in between a bark or a growl, a hiss or a purr, even content silence. A home can sound the same no matter where it is. Home can be the steak of golden fur coming at you when you open the door, or the black ball of fuzz that’s your cat when it’s relaxed. Home can be many things but for me my home is with my pets.
