Dome of love - my home

Home is a dome of protection, love and care. It’s where affection is shown, Anywhere, anytime and by anyone. Merry laughter fills the air, When my family gathers to eat. Our table is always filled with delicious treats, That recharges us and leaves us at peace. Home is where we celebrate our differences, With images of every culture, Plastered on every corner Of the structure of our foundation. Our home is filled with things we love, That guides us through challenging times. It’s where we learn who we are, And where we fit on Earth. Home is a place where memories are made, Scars that remind us of all the bad days. But as we learn from our mistakes, We create a more welcoming place. Home doesn’t need to have four walls, It’s just where you feel you belong, A safe place in your heart daylong, That you can count on. Doesn’t matter if your home is a small cottage, Or a giant mansion. It is a safe space, That you can connect and return to. Home is a dome of protection, love and care.
