My Number One Place

Home is my special place. My brother’s funny pranks, mom’s hearty meals, dad’s meetings and my classes all make me feel at home. I can never imagine all that somewhere else. Sometimes I don’t want to be at home, but I eventually come back. It’s like my home is a part of me, the memories, the laughter, the people and the love. Being together is what makes me feel at home. The best talks are with my family when we get together. When mom cooks a meal, everyone comes together to appreciate the dish. The way we eat is like hanging out with friends. All of us on the couch, watching a good movie and eating a good meal. Home is the only place where I can feel safe, loved and cared for. Even when something goes wrong, my family is there to make it right. When we cry, we always cheer each other up. When we lie, there is a transparent glass so mom can detect. When mom says to study well, it’s always the opposite. But I will always try my best. When I sing, mom and dad always watch. When I dance, mom and dad always watch. When I’m at someone’s house, I always think that my home is better. Even if it’s true, every home is better. I love looking outside, and calling my home, mine. Some of my homes were temporary, but now I can call my current home permanent. The only place which I prefer being at is my home. My home has a special place in my heart. My home is everything to me.
