Home Is...

My home is more than walls and a roof. My home is a special place where people are together. Not just any people, the people I value the most, my family. Home can look different for you and me, Home should be a welcoming place for all. Exciting memories are stored on every wall, Tales of family and the fun we had. Home is a place where I can yell, Shout, laugh, and play, I can be myself in every possible way. Home is a place where I am secure and warm, It shelters me from every woosh of the cold or rainy storm. When I am at home, I know that I will not always be mad, And that I will always be loved. The sound of laughter and joy makes the smile on my face bigger and brighter. I love playing board games with my family and friends, Like Catan, Charades and many more. At my house traditions are celebrated, Chinese New Year, Diwali too. Chinese and Indian food fill the air knowing that I will always have a lot of delicious food to eat. I love to play with my little siblings, the sound of their tiny giggles makes me smile. When it’s dinner or breakfast and we talk about amusing things, it makes me chuckle. Like when my mom talks about her weird dreams. It's hilarious to me. Remember, my home is not just several walls and a roof. It's the memories me and my family store within them. It's the sound of laughter and joy. It’s the people I spend time with, my family! This is why my home is so special to me.
