My Home is Where my Heart is

My home is where my heart is. My home, a place of first words and hugs, a place where soft baby giggles Mix with some baby brother wiggles. Where a baby boy is crawling, Where delicious food is calling, that is my home. My home, with warm butter and bread, in this abode I feel no dread, For home is a place of peace, a quiet place where I can cease, But sometimes home is loud and funny, where I look out the window when it is sunny. When something is troubling me, whether it’s a tiny feud, or a beastly fight, My family at home will help me with all their might. Sharing secrets, but not just that, Lots of warm snuggles, and an occasional loving chat, that is my home. My home, with a few sibling squabbles, but at the end of the day, It’s our love for each other that stands in our way. This dwelling, comfy and cozy, In wintertime, my sister’s cheeks grow rosy. At home, I have a choice and respect, My home is special, though you may neglect. When I am hurt or I am sighing, My little sister will comfort me, so I don’t end up crying, that is my home. Gigantic house or spacious mansion? No, even if it includes a big expansion. My home is me and I am my home, and I would rather my home than a castle in Rome. And in my heart, even if it’s crowded, there’s one more spot for home, because home is where my family sprouted.
