What does home mean to me?

If I described home in three words, it would be family, personal comfort and memories. Home doesn’t have to be a house, like mine, it could be a combination of things that makes us feel a certain way. For some people, it could be a special stuffy, a book or even a pillow that defines home. A home begins with family. They guide me, help me get through those hard days and give me energy. For example, spending quality time with my little brother, having family activities such as, family walks, game night & movie night. Special family gatherings are always most enjoyable. That is what family is to me. Family is like a cozy blanket, but it's not just about being with the ones you love that brings you a sense of personal comfort. For me it’s my reading corner that has soft pillows & blankets, where I like to read just before bed to ease my mind. I like to sit in front of my fireplace, while I do my origami. That's what makes me comfortable. When we explore comfort we discover new memories. One time when me & my family went to a farm, my brother was so hungry that he ate a raw corn. I recall another time when me, my dad & my brother were playing floor is lava, which my brother tried to play with his huge stuffy. My brother aligned all the figurines from smallest to biggest & then he said, ”I’m the biggest”, because he considers himself a lion. These memories always cheer me up. Home is more than just a place. It’s a feeling we get when being with our family. It's comfortable, relieved & safe. It’s where memories are created. That's what home means to me.
