Home Is My Grandma

Home is my grandma. I love my grandma. She took care of me when I was younger and made me the best meals, and I loved her cornmeal porridge the most. It tasted like she actually put her love and heart into it. It was delicious! I would always have seconds. My grandma always dressed me for school. She bought me pajamas all the time. She would always tuck me in with a beautiful blanket. She has been with me all my life from when I was born until I was 8 . It was April 20th, 2020. I woke up to my mother crying on the phone with the hospital. I went to my mom asking what happened, my mom said that my grandma died that morning. It was very sad and I was crying. We couldn't go to the funeral in Jamaica so we did it online with all our family members in Jamaica there. Soon I will go to see her grave. My home would never be the same without my grandma.
