The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home. Home. Home is where I find shelter on cold winter days. Home is where I cool off from the warm summer sun. Home is where I dream on wet rainy days lying in my bed. Home is where I make memories. Home is more than just walls and a roof, more than bricks and cement more than the old wooden floors. Home is love, home is family, home is something you can rely on; a place where you can bond with siblings and cousins. Home is something that grows old with you the longer you stay. Home is a place where you can enjoy telling scary stories at the fire; where you learn how to carve pumpkins in the fall; where you build snow forts with your friends and make pretend potions in the spring. That is what home means to me.
