My Home

Home is where the warm embrace of my family is. When I hug my parents, I feel warm and safe. Home is where I feel at peace. There is nothing better in life to me than when I hear the sound of doves and cicadas singing. Home is where sports are played and memories are made. Home is where comfort is, like sitting by the fire on a snowy day. Home is where delicious food is made, like my dad's famous stir-fry, or my mom's delicious hot chocolate with extra marshmallows. Home is where a warm bed is. At the end of a day when you're just tired, you can thank your family for your warm bed. Home is where the heart of the family is. Home is where UNO is played when tensions are high. Home is where tears are cried. Home is where you get bumps and bruises but that only makes you stronger. Home is where siblings are, where big brothers or big sisters protect. A house is made of bricks and sticks, but when you add a family it turns into much more. Home is where you might leave, but your heart will stay.
