What Is The Meaning Of Home?

Our homes are a place we feel comfortable in, whether you live in the space or not. If you have ever experienced moving you’ll know it’s never easy and the home you left behind will always have a special place in your heart. These places that you have built strong connections with are the ones that you consider home, even if you don’t live there anymore. Most people have never experienced the unforgettable fault of being homeless. Although I have never been homeless in my life I’d imagine it would be horrible. Sitting cold on a street with little to no money probably starving. At that point you don’t have any place to live and no shelter to keep you warm from the brutally cool winters. Your home doesn't have to be a place your family lives or even where you live currently, it just needs to be a place you enjoy being in. Sometimes places that you used to live in when you were a kid bring back childhood memories and nostalgia for you. Most people believe that to call a place a home you need to live in it, but I won’t ever believe that because lots of people immigrate from their homeland to different places so if they ever go back there to take a visit it’ll feel like they have 2 homes. All houses are different, filled with different things, different smells, even different people. Although you’ll never know what type of house your friend has until you come and take a look at it, that's what makes us unique. If we all had the same house and the same things in it, the world would be so boring with no surprises or ways to show our personalities. That’s what I love about the word 'home' . It means a totally different thing to one person than to another.
