Home , where the creek burbles

Image of my house My home is where the creek burbles It’s Sunday night movies and trips to the library It’s dancing in fresh snow and ooey gooey chocolate chip muffins. Thousands of people decide to leave there homes. Even more don’t have the choice to. I wish all of them had the same luck I do A warm cozy house filled with joy and warmth that cocoons me like a warm quilt But also , the windy downtown streets that me and my friends wander, Those places are part of my home The bridge me and my cousin think an ogre lives under, The deer trails in my backyard and my secret reading nook. Memories help make my home. Like the mortar in a brick wall they make every thing else stay together . I remember moving a few years ago My family moved We had to rebuild all of the memories that weren’t there But , I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Now, Dundas is my home. Days spent downtown relishing my ice cream. Or hours spent wandering the woods in my backyard. Home is slurping homemade ramen before my soccer game, Or playing guitar with my dad. It’s greeting the morning sun from my bedroom window And scream singing with my friends. I wish that everyone could have a home. I’m so grateful to Habitat for Humanity for helping give people homes. Home is the places I feel most loved and it always will be. - Isla
