Meaning of Home

My home to me is my comfort when I am scared, I know I am safe. My home provides shelter when it rains, snows and hails. My home protects me from the storms of life. My home is where my mom, dad, brother, birds, and I live. My home is more than walls, nails and wood. It is made of family, love, hugs and memories. My home is a comfortable peaceful place where I can sleep soundly because I know I am protected. It is a place where my family comes together and where we hang out with each other. My home is also a place where we include others and invite friends in for playdates. My nest means having extended family parties where we eat yummy food and connect. I am always full after a good, warm meal at home. My shelter is a place where others like to be. It is a sturdy place because it is built on love. When I am sick my home keeps me warm and cozy. When I have a bad day I can find somewhere nice to read and relax. If I get hurt I know exactly which drawer keeps the bandaids… and where I can always find a hug. My home is a place where I can play ukulele with my dad and have my family sing along. My home is loud and filled with bird chirps, bird meeps, feathers and laughter.I always can trust my home because it is safe, sturdy, well made, and loved. My home is warm as a blanket or like a shield for wind. My home is where my family is and because of this I am blessed.
