What Home Means to Me

Home isn't just four walls and a roof, Home is a place filled with love and joy, Hugs and kisses and lots of more , The patio of my home isn't just a key under a mat, It's my gifted garden gnome from my grandma that always finds a way to fall under a storm, A kitchen isn’t just a place where you cook and eat, It's where you bake delicious cookie recipes with your grandma, Home isn't just your siblings leaving the door open once they leave, But it's them not shutting the door on you when you’re feeling sad, My room isn’t just where I sleep and wake up, but it's where I have the chance to start and end my day in a relaxing, comfy space. To me home is where you get to settle in your comfy zone, Home to me is where thoughts are shared, laughs are echoed, and memories are in the air Home is where memories are made, And Love and laughter never fade, And that's what home means to me, Thank you Habitat for Humanity for donating to children in need and for giving a chance to children to share their feelings about home out loud.
